THE ROLE

At Oshkosh, our diverse portfolio of market-leading brands work as one unified business to move industries forward. As Communications & Marketing Intern, you will be a part of our Global Branding & Communications Team and play a vital role in this commitment to cross-portfolio innovation. Our Global Branding & Communications Team unites our family of brands through the development and management of enterprise-wide internal/external communication strategies. You will contribute to this mission by assisting in the design, creation, development, and execution of various communication materials (internal messaging, the company website, social media, etc.) This position is year-round and located in-person at our Global Headquarters in Oshkosh, WI.

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

  • You will collaborate with functional and business unit partners on internal communication strategies
  • You will develop and review communications materials
  • You will draft communications content using Oshkosh's distinctive brand voice
  • You will assist in the planning of internal events such as Global Town Halls, Oshkosh Excellence Awards, etc.
  • You will participate in the analysis and selection of future technologies and/or platforms that enhance the communications experience
  • You will understand data trends and insights to drive communication strategies
  • You will assist in maintenance and advancement of Oshkosh's website and social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Glassdoor, Instagram, etc.)
  • You will have the opportunity to represent Oshkosh at EAA AirVenture Week

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Student working toward a bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a Business-related field
  • Willing to commute to our Global Headquarters located in Oshkosh, WI (Though primarily in-person, position offers remote-flexibility during the week.)
  • Able to work part-time during the semester and full-time during the summer

WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT

  • Experience in PC platforms, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other web management tools
  • Experience with Photoshop Elements or InDesign
  • Experience in social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Instagram, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
